Long-Standing Local CLP Secretary and Vice Chair – Membership Retires
Our long-serving CLP Secretary and Vice Chair, Sheila Hammond, has now moved away from the area. She will be a great loss to the CLP. Sheila was always friendly and willing to help members with their queries and concerns, often going the extra distance to resolve complex issues. Her knowledge of party procedures and rules is unmatched.
She is a long-standing member. Sheila has been CLP Secretary for many years over a number of spells. She has coordinated the work of the local party during general and local elections.
Clacton Labour Party Chair Quote.
Party Chair, Rob Porter said that “Sheila has been a real rock. She was always ready to help and worked diligently for the party.”
Thank you from Clacton CLP
Sheila received flowers and a card from the party presented by our Women’s Officer, Tracey Lewis.
Leaving the local party has been difficult for her we know, however, she moved to be nearer her family from where I am sure, she will continue to support the party.
I’m sure that all members and supporters will wish Sheila all the best in her new home
